Ingrown hairs on the bottom bit of my stomach?

Hi

Make sure you exfoliate the skin every couple of days as this will help keep the pores clean and should begin to help and ingrown hairs. Try a scrubby shower gel or you could even mix up a little milk and oatmeal with a touch of soft sand and give a gentle rub. Make sure to rince off.

Ideally look into electrolysis as this can really help reduce the hairs ever coming back. Ideally go to a salon but now some are coming out to buy on the market.

and I've got long hairs growing out of my navel -- do I plait, shave, pigtails,a belly moustache, or put them in curlers (a soft wave) ?????

You are too in love with your own body-and incredibly petty.

Apologies for being critical --- try to be more interested in other people--- they will repay you with kindness

Ingrown hairs on the bottom bit of my stomach?

Exfoliate your stomach. and you shouldnt be embarrssed to go to a salon they are so used to these kind of things.

You may need to have professional laser treatment.

Something to avoid the hair ingrowing is massage or use of a soft brush such as a baby's hair brush to gently exfoliate the skin and release the trapped hair. Better if you use the brush in a warm bath or shower. Your skins pores will be more relaxed/open which would make it easier. It would depend on how deep you hair has grown.

Or the use of a gentle skin exfoliant product thats not too rough. This might work but be careful.

Worse case of the Ingrown Hairs?

Ok so I know I don't have herpes but I have a lesion that continues to appear on the left labia majora, far out like almost near the fold of my groin. It looks and feels much like an ingrown hair but never resolves. I've even tried to pick out any possibility of an ingrown hair with sterile tweezers, but I can never find one and just seem to make it worse. It will disappear but always returns near the same area and it's bigger than your standard ingrown hair. It doesn't hurt. No puss or scab or anything that would lead me to believe it to be an std of any kind. It's bothersome because it is starting to affect my self esteem. Anyone have a similar experience that could lend some advice? Thanks.

Worse case of the Ingrown Hairs?

Your doctor will be able to best diagnosis this lesion.

Please schedule an appointment immediately. Although, it does not seem to be anything harmful, it never hurts to consult with a professional.

Good luck!

Worse case of the Ingrown Hairs?

The deep ingrown hairs (the kind you can't pull out) will sometimes respond well to aspirin.

Crush an aspirin into a powder and put just enough water to make a paste. Apply this a couple times each day.

If it's not an ingrown hair then it's time to see doc - just to be safe and sure.

Worse case of the Ingrown Hairs?

do you shave? if you do maybe you should try nair once the ingrown hair problem is resolved and and shave/nair a week before or after your period that's when you get the huge ingrown hairs the most

Worse case of the Ingrown Hairs?

I would go to the gyno.

Worse case of the Ingrown Hairs?

You must go to a doctor and get this looked at. It could be a cyst or swollen lymph node.

Ingrown hairs on my chest?

I know why people get ingrown hairs (skin forms over the pore and hair is not able to push through) but I am wondering why, if I shave my face, my skin is perfectly clear, and I will even grow a bit of scruff with no issue, then just shave again. However, when I shave my chest, I start to get ingrown hairs within a week. Why the difference?

Ingrown hairs on my chest?

It is different skin on your face. Also the hairs on your face are free and constantly exposed to the air whereas the hairs on your chest are under clothes... getiing all sweaty and not able to grow the same!

Ingrown hairs on my chest?

idk. but they have stuff that prevents it

Ingrown hairs forming little bumps on petey's fur?

I'm a new dog owner. i adopted a 1yr old pit bull from the pound in march. she is the the coolest dog, loves people, other dogs and is super sensitive. soon after my pup lost her winter coat in june, i noticed she was getting several ingrown hairs. they form little bumps, then eventually break through the skin and go away. i feed her premium organic food "Wellness" brand. I have not bathed her often since she hates water. i do have a shampoo and oatmeal conditioner from the vet i have use on occassion. she also is not a fan of brushing, and since she has very short hair, it does not seem to be necessary. any advice on how to prevent these ingrown hairs?

Ingrown hairs forming little bumps on petey's fur?

I would do for her the same thing I do for my kids - wash her anyway, especially during the changing seasons. Exfoliants help, maybe instead of a shampoo try a scrub, something with Apricot pits in it to prevent the ingrown hairs.

You can try calling or visiting a dog groomer to see if they have suggestions. I wouldn't want to shave her, but that would also potentially help.

Other than that, is it bothering her or is it bothering you? Ingrown hairs can be very irritating, but you can gently scrape the skin to aid the folical out. If it's not bothering her much and is only related to the change in season, then maybe let it go. She is still young, this may go away once she is grown and fully adjusted to her new home.

Good luck, it sounds like she is in wonderfully caring hands =)

Ingrown Hairs... Help!!!?

I have started to use an epilator on my legs and bikini area, as I hate shaving because I still tend to have scratchy legs a few hours after doing so.. and I hate the hair reoval creams because they are messy and I have to apply them evey second day anyway.. waxing only last a week or two and is too expensive (plus I'm pale with dark hair so a little bit of growth looks bad).. and I definatley cant afford electric/lazer removal.. so I have opted for an epilady as I can use it every few days ad my legs feel smooth... but my legs and bikini are covered in red bumps from ingrown hairs.. they look disgusting and I have to wear pant at the moment to hide them.. how can i prevent/get rid of them?? I use a loofah in the shower every morning and give my legs and bikini a good scrub, and I also apply a ingrown hair solution/spray to my legs after epilating but it doesn't seem to work... What Can I do??? I'm desperate..

Ingrown hairs-how do i get rid or avoid?

how does one prevent ingrown hairs? i've been using a hair removal machine (for legs) that is almost like waxing but it gave me terrible ingrowns.. suggestions?

Ingrown hairs-how do i get rid or avoid?

When you shower, scrub your legs with a very stiff brush, like a scrub brush you might use for floors. This is also very good for your skin and circulation.

Aloe vera is excellent at tackling ingrown hairs. That's why it is often an ingredient in roll ons and shaving foam. Get some from any health store or Boots.
