How do i get rid of my ingrown hair in my pubic area?

i had one once before and i popped it then i was told i shouldn't do it so i didn't mess with it this time, i put on antibacterial ointment occasionally but other than that i did nothing. this morning i woke up and felt a few stings were it is and i noticed it was bleeding I'm guessing it popped on its own. what should i do? it was really big before but its gotten a lot smaller and it hasn't gotten bigger again... help?

IT IS REALLY PAINFUL AND UNCOMFORTABLE, WHEN I HAD MINE I HATED PUTTING ON PANTS, BUT IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO APPLY HEAT ON THE AFFECTED AREA, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT IS TO KEEP IT CLEAN AND WHEN YOU SHAVE DOWN THERE IT IS BEST TO USE A BEARD TRIMMER, SHAVING CREAM, AND APPLY ALCOHOL TO THE PUBIC AREA (ALCOHOL HELPS PREVENT AND RID EXTRA BACTERIA AFTER SHAVING). I HOPE THAT ALL IS WELL CAUSE I FEEL YOUR PAIN!

Get a heat pack and leave it on there for a little while.

I busted mine once and I had a big infection and had to have antibiotics.

Dont mess with them until they are a white or black head. If its just swollen and red leave it alone. I had one like 3 weeks ago in between my lips and it hurt to even pee but I didnt mess with it and it went away. I shave all the way down there, bald. If that is what you do then your not shaving enough. Mine happen if I go like more than 1 week with out shaving at all. So you need to shave more often if you shave. If you have on that hurts and is to a head to pop and it wont then get a towel and heat it with water and microwave it for like 3 mins and leave it on there till the towel is room temp. Then see if it will come out. This is what we do in the spa I work at.

Don't pop it. Let nature take its course. You shouldn't pop or squeeze any spot really as it leaves it open to infection, but sometimes it's unavoidable! Once it does pop/drain of its own accord, treat it with some anti-septic and keep the area as clean and dry as possible. That way, the spot will dry up and disappear quickly. Keep your eye on it though. My cousin had a re-occurring ingrown hair that she eventually had to have removed surgically as it kept causing infection. If you shave yourself, try waxing instead, or hair remover cream, or even let your hair grow a little and keep it trimmed instead.

buy boilease ointment over the counter. its a thick ointment and helps to make bumps/boils come to a head. dont squeeze because it will become infected and worsen the problem. it will shrink on its own and you can either pull or let the hair grow. if this is from shaving ..i suggest you try waxing.
