What direction are you shaving in? What type of product are you using when you shave?

What I do is use an exfoliator before and after I shave, that way this prevents ingrown hairs for me. I will use a sugar scrub, or whatever I have on hand.

... or the exfoliator poof. Then make sure you moisturize the area after.

Try using nair instead of shaving- or try this shave cream called Coochi...you can buy it online. It is kinda pricey, but it only takes a small amount so a large bottle will last for a long time and this stuff works wonders. I've been using it for years and never get razor burn or ingrown hairs anymore.

Also be sure you are using a clean sharp razor. The less strokes you make with the razor the less likely for irritation.

No lie there is shaving cream out there called coochy cream that will help you when shaving down there. For some reason it prevents you from getting nicks and scratches and you get a closer shave. Also, try waxing. Be careful not to put wax that is too hot, that will leave some unsightly blisters!

Get a wax job. Pulls the hair out by the roots. Lasts longer and there are no ingrown hairs. Laser removal, although more expensive, has a more permanent solution.

You need to shave in the direction that the hair is growing. Sometimes it is hard to do and it may take a little bit longer, but it helps. Also after you do it, take a piece of ice or some really cold water and rub it on there, as it will close the pores and help prevent it. After that I usually rub a very small amount of baby oil on it. This will make it softer for a longer period.

Use a **fresh razor**, every time. Its expensive but gives the best results. There is also a product call **TendSkin** that you can buy in many spas/salons. It's like a toner and keeps pores from becoming clogged with dead skin cells, thus helping to prevent ingrown hairs. Also, in the shower, use a **deep cleanser in this area with salicylic acid** (neutrogena makes a good one). Don't forget to **exfoliate** every couple of days too. Hope this helps.

what ever u do, please don't even try to use nair! it will give u chemical burns.. it's not pleasant. either wax the hairs off or try shaving in another direction, try shaving along the grain then against it.

Exfoliate

Use a gentile exfoliant every day to remove built up dead skin cells that can clog the surface of your skin and trap hair, causing it to become ingrown. Exfoliating pads, loofahs, and mild scrubs work well. Look for cleansers that contain Salicylic acid.

Witch Hazel is a fantastic remedy !!! But only apply as needed.

For razor burn and razor bumps, pat the effected area with apple cidar vinegar.

Simply put aloe vera on the effected area. This also helps with razor bumps.

Baby rash cream works wonders. After u shave rub some on.
