sounds like a plantar wart- they usually appear on the bottoms of feet, they look like a small black speck like a splinter would, they will cause the skin to bump up and thicken and the area around them to become painful

I've never heard of ingrown hairs on th SOLE of your feet !!!!

Are you sure thats what it was ???

There are no hairs on the sole of our feet !

I would visit my GP or practice nurse and find out for sure what it was.

Maybe you walked on some hairs and they worked there way into your sole- maybe from a pet, yourself or other fam member- they may be working themselves out- if it was a plantar wart = I don't think you could remove it like a hair= D

it seems for some reason you have a hair follicle on your sole, it was probably ingrowing due to the location, unfortunately i think it will continue to grow unless you receive electolisis or something similar.
