i've just noticed i've got a sore lump in my bottom area, its not that close to the bottom hole and i can't actually see anything so it must be normal coloured... Could it be an ingrown hair or herpes?

Don't fret or take advise from all the scare mongers. It's probably just an ingrown hair. You don't need to shave to get them. Hairs fall out and new ones grow all the time. You are just unfortunate to get one in that particular area. Perhaps you should exfoliate the area to get rid of the dead skin that may be blocking the new hairs from coming through properly.
