Ingrown hairs on thighs...should I still shave?

Well, about 1 or 2 years ago I used to shave my legs (including my thighs) until I started getting really bad ingrown hairs all over my legs..it was disgusting.

Now I only shave from the knees and below weekly. I exfoliate a lot, and tried this new aveeno shaving cream that prevents razor bumps and I also shave downwards direction (i shave in the same direction my hair grows) and i guess it's gotten better but i still get SOME ingrown hairs

soo i haven't shaved my thighs for over a year but i still always exfoliate...i still have ingrown hairs on it but i really want to shave my thighs because i want to be able to wear shorts...so should i do it?

if so, any tips to prevent getting ingrown hairs?

if you still have ingrown hairs even though ur not shaving then u might as well go ahead and shave.

a lot of time shaving will lead to ingrown hair. the best way is to wax ur legs. its a little painful but ur skin looks better over long periods of waxing than years of shaving.

even though it hurts i always stick to waxing and have hardly ever seen ingrown hair

You can try to regularly exfoliate your skin to prevent ingrown hairs. Also, avoid shaving very close.
